Acqua di Parma

Acqua di Parma was established in 1916 in the center of old city of Parma during the period when it was also a center of aristocratic culture of Giuseppe Verdi and Stendhal. Here, in a small manufactory, a qualified master with an unexpectedly strong modern feel created Cologne water with a light and fresh aroma which substantially differed from common strong and even aggressive fragrances. Thanks to this refined alchemy, this Cologne water became immediately successful and the most popular fragrance between the 1930s and 1950s.

At the beginning of the 1960s, things changed and the market was flooded by all kinds of fragrances by other producers who tried to compete. Acqua di Parma decided to continue in its production and based its presentation on its long tradition, and the fact that the perfumes by di Parma are created only by true experts. Historically, this Cologne water became almost iconic for closed societies.
