Cadillac is an American manufacturer of luxury automobiles founded in 1902 by Henry Leland in Detroit. Leland was an engineer, inventor, and businessman and he named the company after Antonie de la Mothe Cadillac who in 1701 founded the city of Detroit.
The first Cadillac car was introduced in 1903 at a car show in New York, and seven years later this manufacturer won prestigious Dewar Trophy, the greatest award it could ever win. In 1909, Cadillac was purchased by General Motors.
The Cadillac brand stands for an uncompromising performance, bold design, and a revolutionary technology which managed to integrate computer technologies into automobiles. Also, it’s the first manufacturer which offered its automobiles in some other than black color.
