Gloria Vanderbilt

Born in New York in 1924, Gloria Vanderbilt was a rich heiress who began studying acting and art.  By 1968, her painting became so famous that they appeared as decorations on Hallmark Cards and Bloomcraft products.  Gloria Vanderbilt started designing diverse patterns on porcelain, glass, dishes and fabrics.  In the 70s, she entered the fashion industry, eventually licensing her name to a collection of silk scarves, jeans, blouses, footwear, leatherwear, perfumes and other products.  Gloria Vanderbilt perfumes were presented from 1982-2002 by L’Oreal.
