Naomi Campbell

Perhaps the most famous African-American supermodel of her time, Naomi Campbell was born in 1970 in a working-class neighborhood in London.  Her modeling career started when she was only fifteen years old, taking her to the cover of Elle magazine.  By the 1990s, she had become a modeling icon, published author, musician, and a restaurateur, collaborating with other models like Claudia Schiffer and Elle MacPherson by investing in a chain of Fashion Cafés.  As if this wasn’t enough, in 1999, she signed her first contract with Cosmopolitan Cosmetics and created a unique line of fragrances.
