It was Marilyn Monroe who first graced the cover of the legendary men’s magazine, Playboy, in 1953.  Founded by Hugh Hefner, the concept of Playboy was to evoke erotic fantasies of the girl next door.  The concept was supported by educated, wealthy men, such as Castro and Martin Luther King Jr.  Today, Playboy has expanded from a magazine to an empire that sells clothing and fragrances for both and women.
